Randy at 205!
http://www.sherdog.com/news/articles...vyweight-19448
i love this. if randy wants to fight til hes 50, i think this is the only way for him to remain relevant. i think he sees the change in the HW division and know that it would be hard for him to knock off the super sized new comers in the HW div. i believe that he has the best chance of taking on Machida, due to his game planning and ability to smother and clinch. however i think that a page or an evans match up wouldnt be to his favor. great for the ufc and for randy and the LHW division.

Great news and makes for tons of interesting fights. After his last fight though it looks like he no longer packs the punch he used to. We all know not to count out Randy though.

Randy vs Forrest?

^^I second that notion. I would be all over that fight. And plus Forrest needs a good fight against a big name where he doesn't get dominated.

Looking back on the A. Silva vs Forrest fight....was that really Forrest's trainer's game plan....to go in their and box with Silva? That sounds like suicide for someone that much slower than Silva who doesn't really even have the power to knock him out.

Ya no doubt about that, from what Ive seen AS has a hard head too, franklin caught him a few times and it didnt seem to phase him one bit. Imo its going to take some real good GnP to take him out. Now you just have to last long enough to get him dow. I would love to see him fight a real good grappler, maybe Nate with a Jackson game plan.....

No head movement and walking straight at AS is what got his ass beat down. Cant wait for the AS vs Marquart rematch.
About Randy, not sure how he will hang with the 205's. The new breed of 205'ers hit really hard and accurate and Randy cant push guys around @ 205. Liddell was proof of that. Im a huge Randy fan, but this is not going to yeild any better results for him.

That's why I think Henderson has a legit chance at beating him. A chin of steel, and NORMALLY solid sub defense (giving up your back? WTF dan).
I think forrest thought he could keep AS at bay with his length, cause forrest is such a long LHW.
But AS was just as long as him honestly. WTF was AS ever doing at middle weight anyway? Forrest is a huge LHW and AS was just as big/long as Forrest.

I agree 100%, AS is big. When he came on the show and helped Nog train his team you could really tell his size. Also he was sparring with those guys and they were giving it their all, he had no head gear on and he was just man handling them.
I do think Hendo has a chance, but like I said he will need a good game plan, thats what its going to take to beat him....well and some luck !!!

I am 37 years old and being the attention of critics, because of my age all the time, i just love to see a guy like Randy who looks awsome and if nearly 10 years older then me.
Most of the time i get critic because i want to get back into martial arts, even MMA, people say well you are not 20 anymore and i really hate that dumb mentality.
Win lose of draw i love to see Randy in there, having fun and doing what he loves to do.
At 205 yeah cool there is a lot of talent in the UFC in the 205 division, i can't wait for is next fight.

Randy has been great for a long time and is still great. I think thats pretty
impressive
If i had to fight him my first move would be trying to climb out of the cage.
But i guess that doesn't make him special I would probably try that with any professional heavyweight MMA fighter.

They gotta match him up against Coleman. Battle of the 40 years olds!

I think Randy would wreck Coleman.
