Tofu for competition diet
I was wondering if eating tofu would be recommended on a competition diet. I understand that it contains phytoestrogens that are far less potent then ordinay estrogens produced in the body, and that they have less BV then say chicken, steak, and eggs. Also, they are incomplete proteins b/c they lack one of the 8 essential aminos. However, if consumed w/ something that is complete (ie chicken, steak, and eggs) then your body will be able to utilize it. I don't really know the downside of consuming it for a competition but hopefully someone will enlighten me.
