Back To Back Shows?
how do you do your water? are you able to get dry for both shows?
is a diuretic like Dyazide out of the question for back to back shows. is it too harmful to your body? most people are saying that you can take this the friday before the show around noon, then again around 8pm, and then once again first thing sat, before prejudging. if needed again after you eat before the night show. ive never used a diuretic and dont know much about them. does this sound right, and is it ok to do this diuretic cycle of Dyazide on back to back weekends or is it too harmful.
the second show is the most important to me.

sometimes, taking a diuretic two weeks in a row isnt as effective the second week...if the second show is "more important", i might not use it the first show...the thing about dyazide, is that it's fairly mild, so I'd feel ok bout using it 2 weeks in a row....

yea its better to decide which one you want to "peak" at, or which one is more important to you, some guys peak at their second show and some at thier first, but as said before diazide is not as effective the second time around that close, but at the same time as said before it not to harsh like lasix

I've actually done back to back shows and used dyazide for both shows and I must tell yo uthat i dont think I got as dry as the first show. but dyazide back to back weekends are not harmful.

well what is the best way to get dry for both shows minus lasix? im open to any ideas.

Well since the second show is more important, I'd use something mild like taxataron (spelling) fo rmy first show then th egood sh!t for the second show.

lets say i use something mild like taxataron, for the first show and i dry up well. is this going to keep me from peaking for the second show. this is my first show, i have no idea how my body is going to react to any of this. im new to the game. im not going to look flat for the second show? just a little conserned about taking 5-10 pounds of water off and then putting it back on, and then taking it right back off again. wonding what the effect is going to be on my muscle mass???

i have a friend thats doing two shows back to back a week apart, and if you use taxataron it should be ok, however i would shit load the first show imo , and if you are worried about making a weight class, i would then do a cleaner carb load the second show and a stronger diuretic, and you should come through golden...imo

im new to this, just curious why you would shit load for the first show and then load up on clean carbs for the second show? i thought it would be the other way around. im not really worried about weight. im going to be a light heavy.
so even if i cut water with a mild diuretic, i can still peak at the second show? this has been done before...

ok, what do i need to do to make sure that i peak at the second show? do i come in at tip to shape, or do i try and come in about one week out to the first show? do i need to be in the best shape i can be, and then not get completely dry, and the try and maintain what i have for the second show?
how would you do your water and carbs after the first show? i have many questions...

i have done many back to back shows. 7 in a row every sat or sun is my record so far ha ha.
i never use diaretics. i feel if you are drinking the water you need to be before a show then keep up the water on show day you will not hold water.
there can be a nasty rebound from aldactone and frusimide, diazide etc. so using any if you have another show a week later its not a good idea. ive seen folk hold mega amounts of fluid after a show then not recover from it in time and lost condition cos of it.
take vit c and plenty water and as long as no salty food consumed then there will be no need to worry about water retention.
