Dieting for Comp While Using Insulin
Im interested in others experiences with Insulin and competition dieting. I am not a novice to Insulin, but have not strictly dieted while using it. I assume people have used it in such a way and would like to hear how, and what results where obtained, i guess my main concerns are, firstly, side effects, and secondly, having trouble leaning up, thanks in advance.....

The only time I could think of really needing/justifying the use of slin during a contest prep, is if the competitor was ahead of schedule (really lean) and was having trouble filling out on high carb/carb up days. Other than that I really see no need for it, its too risky and the risks outweigh the rewards, I dont think slin will help you come in 5-10 lbs heavier and at the same condition or anything like that. It seems like it would jsut serve as a mental crutch if anything.

I have a buddy that has used it and didnt like it. He did it b/c his friend is a very top level competitor and does it before every contest. I dont exactly remember his protocol but is was somewhat like 5iu E3H day of contest. Dont hold me to that but his reasoning behind it was to "fill" his muscles for when he got on stage. IMO that is way too dangerous and not worth it. PLEASE keep in mind for all that are reading this that is roughly what I remember. I'll avoid giving details as I dont support the action.

Webb, I dont know if you remember but I have a friend that is a replica of your stats. He just ran LR3 for the first time precontest in the Jr. USA's and LOVED it. He ran 40mcg AM and 40mcg PWO right up until his show. He cut his training 6 days before stage time and ran the LR3 at 60mcg AM prior to cardio.
He (as most) see no signs of Hypo when on LR3. He was able to inject his IGF and perfomr 45 minutes of cardio no problem. I am the same way just dont recommned it to all as results/sides will vary.
IMO I wouldnt experiment with LR3 precontest. If one already knows how they react to it then Pre contest is a sure thing.

ok....what about running it at 80mcg after am cardio instead of splitting the doses????
Also i ma not cutting training till 4 days out, so i will be a little different that way, but i am planniing on running 80mcg post am cardio, but if you think it might be better i will split my doses...

I like pre cardio only to lower cortisol levels and to somewhat take your body out of its already catabolic state. It may sound a bit anal but I do whatever I can to reap the best benefits.
If I remember correclty this will be your first LR3 run, right? Then PWO may be better, dont want any issues with pre and carb intake when you dont know your exact tolerance.

this is my first time...i was going to do it post am cardio, and do all 80mcg in one shot...i have a sweet poatoe with some turkey after my am cardio, so i figured that would be the best time to take advantage of the carb intake i will have....i didnt wanna do it pwo cause i do not have any carbs after i train, my las carb meal is generally 1 hour before and in the last stages of depletion i only have carbs post am cardio....
