Precontest PWO Shake Help
Hey Guys, looking for a little advice. I'm prepping for my first show now, things are coming along well, bf is dropping and posing is, although new to me, going well. I'm getting a coach in the upcoming weeks to help as well.
My questions lies in post workout nutrition. Currently, post workout i have been using whey isolate with added bcaa, glut, and hmb. Additionally, i have either a full or half gatorade depending on the day (cycling high and low carb days). My questions is to cut out the gatorade 4-5 weeks out? Later? Or keep it pwo if i am still burning fat effiecently?
Any advice from those who have compete would be great. Thank you...

I don't see the point of the gatorade at all.....or are you like substituting it for regular pwo carbs or something? I still have 1 scoop of my pwo on med. days.....3 on high day....but none on low days...and i'm 6 weeks out.
ALOT of people though say to cut out the pwo shake entirely....i just can't agree with this mindset.

using the gatorade as a insulin spiker for recover pwo, i've tried dextros and maltodex in the past but both didnt seem to make me respond well. Felt great after the gatorade change over tho...

My post workout routine while in contest prerp is:
5gm of BCAA right after training
30min later:
1-1/2 scoop of whey
2 rice cakes
60gm of oatmeal with 1 teaspoon of Natural PB.
Works good for me...XXL

Thanks Mike, I was thinking along the lines of rice cakes too. Havent decided yet but may keep the gatorade in low amounts til about 4-5 weeks out and then drop it and have some type of brown rice cakes pwo with the bcaa, followed by a whole food meal shortly after.

IMO Gatordae if overpriced sugar water there is nothing magicxal about it even the electrolites in it are not balanced...pluse if you want to drink your carbs look for something with maltodextrin in it.

what are your guys thoughts on vitagro S2? I'm knew to the concept of the stuff. I've used maltodextrin in the past, better choice for PWO because of the lower sugars?
