tuna straight from the can mixed with parmensan grated cheese is a must try....and for those who appreciate the convenience of tuna but cannot stomach the taste, try chicken in a can (bit more expensive but worth it). Can be mixed with ketchup and grated cheese for added taste. Don't knock it, unless ya try it!

I absolutely hate the taste of tuna so I squeeze some lemon on it and put a bunch of tabasco sauce as well.

I actually love it with lots of sweet relish and a little light mayo. It's not too bad to mix with salsa either. The hotter the salsa the better the tuna tastes.

the best way, if you have time is to make a tuna burger. start by draining the tuna of the water, then add table spoon of chopped onion, table spoon of imitation bacon bits, two egg whites, and a tablespoon of instant pancake mix. mix together, mash into patties and heat it on a skillet, put a slice of fat free cheese ontop to hold it together, and wallah, THE best way to eat tuna.

You know my husband makes this dish called Taboule, (Mediterranean salad) So I thought, what if I added tuna to it....mmmmmm Sooo good.
    Recipe:
couscous 1/2 cup soaked in H2O until soft (15-20 min)
2 bundles of parsely (leaves only shredded)
    3 firm tomatoes diced
    2 onions diced
20 or so mint leaves finely shredded
mix all ingredients in a bowl then squeeze about 5 limes
add 1/4 cup olive oil and salt to desired taste
you can add tuna for protein supplement.

ok ok, i've hated tuna all my life but i finally found a way that like it...(so i went out and bought 12 cans of it recently...)

starkist pure white solid albacore, mashed up and mixed with chopped celery, a little bit of sweet relish, some oregano and LOTS of mayo! haha, i can't stay away from the mayo...=( put that tuna salad between some butterkrust bread and mmmmmm, its actually pretty good! i find myself actually wanting it sometimes. 21g of protein per serving...=)

i eat one can of tuna with one spoon of just as good mayo ^ and 2 slices of whole grain bread(brown bread)

    Bread 2 slices
    6 grams sugar
    24grams carbs
    1 gram fat

    is this good to do???

which reminds me... i know it's prefered to eat reagular mayo instead of fat free mayo because FF mayo comes pacted with sugar... but what about just @ good mayo? is that good?

Thumbs up Tuna in Orange Juice

I have eaten Tuna a lot of different ways and many times I skipped meals which consisted of tuna due to its' aweful taste. I have found one way of consuming tuna which actually doesn't bother me at all even after having 3 cans a day...

8 oz Orange Juice (find one with low sugar)
    1 can Tuna

Pour the OJ into the blender, throw in the tuna... let sit for about a min for the tuna to absorb the OJ (the tuna taste will be less noticeable) and Liquify for 2 mins... a good shake any time of the day and it's all done in less than 5 mins including preparation and consumption... Give it a try and post your reaction...

Here something simply some of you big dieters might like. mix up the tuna with some pieces of cheese, you can add mustard or mayo, but not necessary. then either heat it solo or pop it on top of some wheat bread. ive found toaster ovens heat it best.

I came up with this new tuna pattie recipe tonight and I have to admit I had low hopes since I hate tuna, but was feeling experimental. It turned out good though! Tastes absolutely nothing like tuna! Which in my opinion is a good thing. This is basically an entire meal with carbs and protein included, if you want some fats maybe add some flax or olive oil.

1 6oz can tuna (I use the starkist packets)
    1/3c oats (ground in blender)
    2 tbl chopped onions
    2 tbl chopped mushrooms
    1/4c brocolli (chopped)
    1 egg white

Saute the onions, mushrooms, and brocolli then mix everything together and form patties. I season with salt, pepper, lemon juice, and Lawries season salt. Fry in pan or grill.

I mix mine in a bowl with brown rice and a chopped avocado. Add a little cayenne pepper and it's good to go.

A good mix of high protein, complex low GI carbs and healthy fats.
