Casein or Egg Protein
I was buying Egg Protein for a slower digesting protein powder that I drink before I go to bed, but it is expensive. So I was thinking about going with casein instead, thinking that it may be a little cheaper, but it is just as expensive. Which one would I be better off going with? Which one is slower digesting? I don't like cottage cheese, so that is out and I need something convenient for a night time protein source.

casein is by far the best source of protein to take before going to bed becuase it is the slowest releasing protein!

aye i do 30g casein and 30g egg whites(pasturized from carton) w/ 2tbls flax usually before bed if its a shake. otherwise i eat like 10 eggwhites and 3oz turkey w/ some flax

Well if it's a shake go with casien........ I do 35g with falx and off to bed, than up at 2am another 35g with flax and back to bed.
