    Raw vs cooked chicken breast

Do you guys here count cooked chicken breast different than raw. What I mean is that I have no problem eating 8oz chicken but the other day I purchsed 8oz of cooked grilled chicken breast from deli and it was a huge amount.Seemed like twice as much.

Checked calorieking and it shows the difference to be 24gms to 35gms raw to cooked.Just an eyeopener to me and I thought Id post.

when you cook food it shrinks. 8 oz. raw chicken cooks down to 6 or so oz. yielding about 250 cals...give or take

I realize that now. When I opened up my next meal and saw a whole chicken I was flattened I will now ask ask the butcher to give me 2.5 oz to really upset him since asking for an exact half pound was sooooo hard on him.

almost all meat loses 30% of it weight when cooked. I always go by the raw weight otherwise you will eat alot more kcal than you think.
