How crucial are carbs for breakfast while cutting?
Cut for a month or so a while back and had P/F meals all day and then 2 carb meals PWO and PPWO. I plan on cutting for 8 weeks before school and was wondering if carbs breakfast, PWO and PPWO is that big a difference in carbs only PWO and PPWO as long as the calories are in check. I had great results with no carbs for breakfast but started to look real flat.

I don't think they are critical at all.

The lower I cut carbs..the more strength and size I lose. I've seen the best results eating carbs throughout the day and then one or two pro/fat meals at the end..

It all depends on how your diet is layed out. I personally like oto have carbs with breakfast while cutting though jsut to get the metabolism started and to refill glycogen stores from my nightly fast.

I take carbs in all day long while I am cutting but only take in simple carbs pwo. I think they are important for anybody who trains and does cardio daily. Which you should be doing if you are cutting. I even take in a few crackers or have a small glass of juice before bed if I feel that my blood sugar is low.

If you do the pro/fat way of eating then I think it depends on how much carbs you take in when you do your PWO/PPWO carb ups.If you have a hard labor job as I do then even on non workout days....right after cardio, ingest a PWO drink.I drink 80gms Dex on workout and also cardio days PWO.
This is what I do and it seems to be stopping the fast muscle loss I was experiencing when I would go low carb on my cardio only days. And man the hunger pains and feelings of dizzyness were intolerable where now I feel fine.
I also take 20gms dex 20 gms whey pre-workout plus my booster....one sugar free redbull .This is at 5:30am.
I really feel that by doing 4 pro/fat meals for rest of day I prime my body to accept as much of the carbs into my muscles instead of fat on my next carb up..I also take 400mg of R-ALA---15 minutes before shake and wanna try adding some vanadyl sulfate to the mix.
Crazy thing is when I wake up I look so flat its discouraging but by 11am I look pumped. Its kinda weird!!
