    Current Diet, Please Critique

    I've been using this particular diet for a few months now. I gained about 7lbs so far but in the recent weeks it doesn't seem to be doing the trick anymore. Maybe I need to up 500 calories? I dunno. My maintence is 3000 and according to Fitday, I take in about 3500 a day.

    Wake up (usually around noon - no class, no responsibilities, I like to sleep in)
    8oz salmon (316 cals, 44 pro, 1 carb, 14 fat)
    1.5cups cooked whole wheat pasta (1080 cals, 36 pro, 252 carb, 6 fat)

    1396 Cals total, 80 pro, 253 carb, 20 fat

    1.5 hours later
    1.5 scoops No-Xplode

    30 minutes later
    workout

    After workout
    1 scoop Cellmass

    20 minutes later
    1 serving cytogainer

    620 calories, 56 pro, 80 carb, 5 fat

    2 hours later
    8oz New York Strip steak (438 cals, 66 pro, 0 carb, 17 fat)
    270g sweet potato (around 9 oz) (250 cals, 5 pro, 56 carb, 0 fat)

    688 calories total, 71 pro, 56 carb, 17g fat

    2 hours later
    8oz chicken breast fillet (205 calories, 47 pro, 0 carb, 2 fat)
    1.5 serving Lipton Cheddar Brocolli Rice-Sides (390 cals, 9 pro, 71 carb, 2 fat)

    595 calories, 56 pro, 71 carb, 4 fat

    1.5 hours later

    1 scoop cell mass

    30 minutes later
    1 serving Isopure (200 cals, 50g 0 fat, 0 carb)

    Totals: 3499 Cals, 313 pro, 460 carb, 46 fat

    Depending on the time or when I might've woken up, I might eat another meal before I take my cellmass and therefore extend the schedule by about another two hours or so (usually do but not always). Also, a lot of the time I'll substitute the steak for pork (rarely) or chicken or turkey tenderloins so as not to consume so much red meat.

    What do you guys think?

    Looks like a liquid based diet...go for the whole foods. I would only have one shake PWO (whey and dextrose or oats IMO)

    1,396 cals in your first meal??!! Wow bro, I personally wouldn't eat more than 700 cals per meal...eat more meals more often; and are you sure 1.5 cups of pasta is over 1,000 cals?

    Before bed should ideally be a pro/fat meal (IMO, egg whites, 2 TB natty PB, cottage cheese)

    I personally wouldn't eat steak PPWO especially with a potato...but your bulking so if this works for you, great!

    I would eat more rice, oats, WW pasta, WW bread

    I really only consider myself as having 2 shakes. One PW and one before bed. Is that too much? It's roughly 800 cals out of 3500.

    I looked up the nutrition facts on pasta a few times from a few different sites, and yes, that's what they all came up with roughly. I was shocked too.

    I ran out of natty PB and haven't gotten any in a while but I'll start eating it before bed...I used to, just stopped for a while.

    steak is fine if your bulking i normally use chicken or fish myself, but put some fat with that bed time shake.

    Of course steak is fine, but not 7 days a week...I try to limit it to 2-3 but I think that might even be too much.

    I eat steak probly 4 times a week while cutting (whether its steak at applebees or if i grill some filet mignon) and it has done great for me.

    yeah same here i eat sirloin about 3 or 4 times a week man

    Yeah, I do too, but I've heard its really awful to eat it that many times per week. I'd eat it every day if I hadn't heard it was so bad.

    Anyone else have critiques on my original diet?

    Well I'm an endo for sure...when I start gaining fat weight from eating steak this often I'll let you know...so far I love it and it has worked out excellent.

    For some reason I knew you were bulking but I'm cutting that's why I said I would go with something other than steak unless it's lean...but chicken or tuna works best for me as stevo stated.
