Just depends on how you react to them. If they resulted in lethargy I would be lethargic all day.

Some Complex Carbs are higher on the GI then others. For example me personally i found after eating brown rice about 1-1.5 cups i would feel very lethargic.

When i switched to sweet potatoes (Yams) 55 or less on the GI scale i wasn't as lethargic. ALso i was eatin the same amount 1 cup of rice =4.2oz of Yams.

ALso i find if ur bulking you get pretty lethargic as well.

I would think if you were to feel lethargic to carbs, it would be after a High GI carb was consumed and you have an insulin "crash"

complex carbs/ slow digesting carbs are supposed to give you constant energy instead of the quick spurts of energy you feel after eating things that have a lot of sugar
