    Bulking = Nausea

    What do you guys do to combat nausea from overeating? Is it all mental? Do you just push out the feeling and focus on knowing that you need to consume to grow and deal with it? Or is it just a matter of time for the stomach to get used to the extra intake? I ask because I reached my threshold last night for what I could hold and spent the next exhausting hour trying not to hurl. Worst feeling ever.

    I'm bulking right now and dont get nausea. Maybe your meals are to big or too close together.

    i am nearing the end of my bulker and have been gradually consuming more and more food and i have "reached my threshold" also. i have been trying to change up my meals a bit and even get a little dirty with the diet and that has seemed to help.

    I'm thinking my meals are just too big and I'm eating too quick. I have been shoveling food down and then within minutes feel sick.

    What helps me is to watch TV when I eat, I don't even focus on what I'm doing. Its kinda like how you could eat a big bag of fritos when you watch the superbowl, but would be sick to eat that much while paying attention. Also save drinking water or whatever until the end. I know how you feel, I was cutting for a couple months and I got used to eating very little, now eating 2500 cals seems like I'm trying to commit suicide.

    Eat smaller meals more frequently throughout the day.

    I never eat a meal over 500-700calories.

    700 calories eaten 6times a day is 4200calories, more than enough to grow.

    4000-4500 a day is my goal. It takes work when you are in the office 9-5, constant trips to the fridge.

    Slowly ramp your calories up with good healthy foods, do not go from eating 3000 calories to eating 4000 calories in a very short period of time, it will result in fat gain.

    Move up 200 calories/wk until you hit your desired goal. Even at 3500 you should be growing depending on your training program and the amount of rest you're allowing your body.

    I feel your pain bro. It's a lot harder hitting the 4k+ mark when your eating clean. Some days and meals are worse than others. I find if I eat slow, I fill up more. If I eat a bit quicker, I don't have time to let the food settle (particularly oats).

    I never claimed I ate 4200 calories, I was giving an example. Some people think excessive calories are the way to go, who am I to tell them I don't agree. Plus I don't feel like explaining why.

    good advice bro. what more or less would equal 700 calories? like a chicken breast and a cup of rice? white or brown?
    or like lean beef skirt steak and a cup of whole beans?
    i'm asking cuz i grow pretty good, but i can't seem to get my body fat down.

    You need to educate yourself on the basics of nutrition to answer your above question.

    First know these things:
    How to read a nutrition label. Simple
    1g Protein = 4 calories
    1g Carbs = 4 calories
    1g Fat = 9 calories

    So figure it out: http://www.calorieking.com/ (Great site to refer to when measuring foods and counting calories)

    1 chicken breast (8oz Raw) = Prot/Carbs/Fat (52.5/0/3) Calories = 237
    Chicken:
    Prot = 52.5 x 4 = 210calories
    Carbs = 0 x 4 = 0 calories
    Fat = 3 x 9 = 27 calories
    210 + 27 = 237 calories in 8oz raw chicken breast.

    1cup brown rice (cooked) = Prot/Carbs/Fat (5/45/2) Calories = 218
    Rice:
    Prot = 5 x 4 = 25
    Carbs = 45 x 4 = 175
    Fat = 2 x 9 = 18
    25 + 175 + 18 = 218 calories in 1 cup B.Rice cooked

    So obviously 237 + 218 = 455 total calories for that particular meal..

    You follow?

    Yup, even at 3k I was growing. Ive been doing better recently since I'm a few weeks in. I've been eating small amounts every 2 hours and nothing after 9:30pm and purposely stopping while I'm still a little hungry. I think my body is adjusting to the intake.

    A few reasons, I get in bed around 10 so I drink a shake around 9:30 to end the day. Any food after that and I wake up in the middle of the night with heartburn. I sleep best if I dont.
