Cutting 20 pounds in 5 days???
man heres the situation..i decided to do a jiu jitsu tourny on short notice..the weight classes are like this..150-170 171-190 190-no limit...im weighing like 208-210 right now...i really dont want to do the 190 and above class just because chances are im gonna be going against guys 50-100 pounds heavier then me..i know theres a guy whos close to 300 pounds but im not sure if hes doing the tournament..is it possible to cut down to 190 before this saturday..its tuesday right now...if anyone has any suggestions that would be great..i need to get started asap if i wanna get this weight off...would it be better to just to the heavyweight class so i dont have to kill myself to get down and be exhausted when i actually do fight??

you might want tostart getting inthe sauna every morning. do some sit-ups and push-ups in there to get a sweat going. lots of cardio too. too lose that much weight you'll be starving yourself. if you do decide to do it, you'll want to eat a bunch of complex carbs after your weigh in to get some energy back. 20lbs in four days is going to be tough to impossible. i would go the heavyweight class and try to gameplan around how to take the big guy out. next fight just plan better and you'll be alright.

How much water are you holding at the moment?

I don't think it's possible to loose that much weight. Even if you could, you would be loosing muscle, and be weaker for the fight.

It can't be done in a healthy way and will affect your performance more than it'll help you. You'll be so dehydrated that you'll have no stamina and probably start cramping during competition.
Next time plan ahead better, I'd hold off on this tournament.

If I were in this situation I would find a MMA forum or a Wreslting forum. I am sure this is covered often.
I know in the past I have read some wrestlers stating that they have cut 20 lbs in less than two days.
Better go get the plastic suit and get joggin hehe

completely serious now, get a colonic. you'll drop 10 pounds of shit asap. you can then drop the water weight along with it. problem is you'll be weak as hell. i would say skip it.

I think the only way to lose 20 lbs in 4 days is to cut your leg off

To be honest with you, you have come to the wrong place to learn about proper weight cutting (cutting water weight).
You would have better luck on a MMA or Wrestling forum. I have decent knowledge when it comes to cutting weight but if you don't know what you are doing you will **** yourself up and won't be able to pull guard let alone win a match.
This is a "DIET" forum for losing weight (fat etc) not water weight..
These things should be planned out way ahead of time..i know wrestlers and MMA guy's that can cut 20lbs like it ain't shit within 1-2 days.***No source checks!!!***
