    Body Fat-Measuring Scales

i have a weight scale that measures body fat also.
the percentage seems insanely high every time! i measure 45%!!!!!!!!!
while i certainly do have fat on me, in no way do i c that im that fat...nor can anyone else (but umm, not willing to post pictures
im 5'8 209 pounds now. that would mean that im only 125 pounds of muscle and bones at leanest! its a shock, but i read reviews about the device saying that it also measures water weight, so there will be about 5% margin of error. still 5% would put me at 40%...would i not be morbidly obese at that %? how reliable do you think these things are?

i have a scale that reads anywhere from 12 to over 14 %, but i also get my bf% checked at my gym(with a 3 point caliper test) and it is always below 10 and usually around 8 or 9, so i wouldn't count it too accurate

They are a load of shit dude. Mine says I am 32% This is me, I am closer to 15%
The Calipers are the only easily available BF test that is reasonably accurate

I have used one in a gym that was pretty close but it had an athletic setting which took into account that the weight was based more on muscle than fat

Mine reads 27% and I have no idea what mine really is. I just use it as a meter. It should go up and down accurately to track improvemnet, you'll just never get a true reading in regards to your actual BF.

In my avvie one of those digital ones told me I was 14%.

I don't trust them - just go on the mirror.
