    Lean Ground Beef

I am on my second day of eating lean ground beef and have two concerns with it. First off, the taste isn't the best, what do you guys recommend to put on it for some flavor (I tried franks red hot and still wasnt the best). Secondly and more importantly, for every 1/2 cup of lean ground beef there is 0.5 grams of trans fats. I am not to educated on trans fats, but when getting close to two grams a day, is that bad for your body? Should I take lean ground beef outta my diet, even though I just put it in because it is relatively cheaper than other meats.

Trans fat is a poison. Avoid it at all costs. Two grams is two grams too many. Why don't you just buy free-rangs, organic ground beef and not worry about the fat? If you eat beef that is raised properly, the fats will be healthy, not something to avoid. Even saturated fats can be a good thing. They contain CLA, which burns fat.

lean ground should not contain trans fats, buy from a proper butcher or buy a better brand.

i use minced fresh garlic and onions, and i add ranch seasoning or Lipton golden onion soup mix. lea and perrins worcestershire sauce is good too.

as PB stated good meat shouldnt have trans fat. trans fat comes from processed foods.
