Novastepp
Hey nova, i read mostly all the post' on this forum and I notice you have very knowledgeable input on alot of the post. Is there anything I can read to learn about fat storage and insulin levels, and alot more of the body, i tried getting a book by Elliot and benedict but barnes and nobles didn't have much. I know experience has alot to do with it, what do you think? Do you have any suggestions, plus can you read my thread on being nauseated during workouts and give me some input, thank you very much!

yeah i really didn't understand what you were talking about in that thread. are you throwing up? or just feeling sick. a lot of times when you are using a high volume routine the amount of blood shuttled away from your digestive system can cause that reflex. your digestive system would require nearly 25% of your total blood volume if it was EMPTY. so it is requiring a lot more, and when you rocket your blood pressure up with compound movements, sometimes your body will produce the vomiting reflex to get you to stop.
as far as insulin , what did you want to know? an insulin response does not mean fat storage. it means just that insulin is taking blood sugar out of the blood stream. first thing it does is attempt to restore glycogen, which is what we strive for after training anyway. an excess, or a sudden flood of sugar can cause insulin to begin the process of fat conversion, but that does not necessarily even mean it will be stored. and even if you use dex PWO, you are merely creating an insulin response, not a "spike". many think insulin is horribly bad and that the spike they think they are receiving will "shuttle" protein into the muscles, and if that were the case we would be robots or something, because we don't have a shuttle that runs 24/7. merely a response is enough to blunt cortisol levels which have risen due to cardio or lifting. additionally, glycogen replenishment takes longer than a couple of days, so thinking it will be filled with a single PWO or even with the PPWO meal, is inaccurate. it's about maintaining steady insulin levels throughout the day... that will keep you lean and prime you for fat loss. at that point just eat enough to maintain your Lean Body Mass, and let your metabolism and cardio do the rest. hell, if you do that, you don't even need cardio to get into single digits. i am rambling oh my god.

..
I was saying that I always feel like throwing up when I workout and I think its because I eat an hour before I workout or something but thats the way my time frame goes, on the other hand, I'm asking if all the knowledge you have about the body etc.. only comes from experience or did you read any books etc..

probably 50/50. i work side by side with a doctor of genetics and human physiology, and we teach college human biology/anatomy and physiology. we constantly get new articles to consider for implementation into her curriculum, and i read those furiously. i have learned a lot, but i think the greatest thing to realize is that there are no general rules of health or bodybuilding. take me for instance. i know i cut very well with a pro/carb diet exclusively. but if you take a look at "bone crusher's" pic's thread, he is a ripped beats and he eats fat for the majority of his macros. so i usually say some facts, and other times i will say what works. the absolute best thing to know in reference to body building is what works for you.
as far as you feeling sick goes, give it more time before hitting the gym. i used to go an hour and a half after eating and i could still get myself sick if i pushed hard enough. again, try and find a time that works for you.

oh it's not a job. it's a scholarship. i still go to school, and i'm currently working on my masters in health informatics.
i really don't know of any books. but just do basic searches on google and stuff and you can come up with referred articles and stuff. but don't get too crazy because one study will contradict another and it goes on and on and on and on andoa ona doan doa dnon andoan and on.
