    Nutrition labels bogus?!?!

what are you thoughts on the Nutrition Labels? are they actually accurate?!

i just bought me a small can of roast beef by hormel and its says 10oz can 54g protein

and then i bought a can of chicken saying 8oz if 36g protein?!?!?! how is all this possible?!?! sometimes i looks at the labels of foods and im like "how can it be so much(protein, carb, fat) in this small serving be sooo high?"

i mean, i know a big chicken breast of about 12oz is roughly 50g protein, but a small little chicken pouch of 5oz be 30?!?!?! that doesnt make sense!!

so if i eat 2 pouches and a half (12oz) i would have consumed 75g protein as opposed to 12oz chicken breast with only 50g???

what do u guys think about nutrition labels?!?!?

most of these labeling follow a PRE-SET standards. It is not measured at the factory.
a lean 2 oz of beef should yeild about 11-12 grams of protein so 8 oz should be about 48 grams.

Chicken breast has higher protein than u said, a 12 oz chicken breast should yeild about 80 grams of protein not 50.

its about the same amount, beef however, has a higher profile of amino acids. its .94 i believe, egg whites are .97 and chicken are .87
