    Frozen Chicken

Is it ok to use Perdue frozen chicken vs buying it unfrozen? The only thing I could think of is the sodium content in the frozen breasts to preserve them. I like to get two big 10lb bags every week instead of buying like 20 little packs of unfrozen chicken.

Good question, I was wondering the same. Also frozen chicken has added flavor enhancers.

Tyson makes some frozen chicken that is all natural. I get it at walmart. Check some whole food stores as well.

    Good question.

The first thing I look at when I buy chicken (frozen or not) is the 'enhanced' water content. This ranges from 3-15%, and typically the frozen chicken is on the higher side (Frozen Tyson is 15%).

Now someone correct me if I'm wrong, but if the one set is 'enhanced' with more water, doesn't that mean your getting less actual chicken per lb?
