    Protien Shakes...

    Trainer told me a shake before bed with the diet im on. Isthis good or bad? Seems alot to sit on the stomach before bed and all night. Shouldnt it be morning or pre workout? Any comments?

    I second DSM, shakes before bed are ok if it fits into your diet.

    try cottage cheese or a casein protien both are slow digesting

    Whey Protien, Just protien, powder, 50gram protien, half cup water, 1 scoop, slam it... 3g sugar, 9g carbs...150 cal... 1g fiber...

    My diet is, 4 boiled eggs in the morning, 2 without yolk... 1 cup oatmeal... 3 hrs later 6g pro\carb .... then lunch pretty much same thing... 3 hr later protien bar... dinner boiled chicken brests withe veg or salad.... before bed that protien shake... ne ideas or recomendations?

    I would not use Whey protein. As most of the whey proteins out there are whey protein isolate which is broken down to be readily digested. Caesin would be a better option IF you are doing a shake as the whey isolates digest to quickly and wont be suitable for 7-8 hours of sleep.

    If your looking to bulk then that diet really is weak and you wont expect much from it.

    I Weigh 240, i want to tone up muscle mass and cut my fat down. IF that makes sense....
