Water
right guys...this seems a very simple stupid question.
How much water should a bodybuilder drink daily?
Should someone whos looking to drop bodyfat drink more in order for it to aid loss of bodyfat?
Obviously i know water is assential to make sure the bodys hydrated when working out ect.
I hear alot on water helping drop bodyfat, hows this actually work?

I was watching discovery channel and they said that cold water burns fat because your body has to warm it to body temperature before it allows it to be dispersed in the body but warm or room temperature water will hydrate you quicker because it takes less time to disperse it. I know that doesn't answer your question but it is a fun fact to know. As far as I know the recommended water intake for an active person is about a gallon a day. I don't know too much about it's fat burning abilities other than what I stated above. It is possible to drink too much water tho.

I drink 2 gallons a day. And to Overdose on water,i would think it would have to be done on purpose. Just like i hear people die from excessive protein. LOL

Yeah I'm sure it would take a lot of water to overdose. Although I guess that depends on the size of the person aswell. Never heard of a person overdosing on protein lol. I can see of happening tho.
"what's your diet look like?"
"it's perfect, I drink 16 protein shakes a day and eat 45 cans of tuna!"

drink as much as you can. a gallon seems to be the consensus.
People who overdose on water are usually on ecstacy and they just drink and drink and it takes hours and hours and hours but they end up drinking so much water that their blood gets diluted and they die from the (red blood cells I think) almost popping, also electrolytes become unbalanced because when you are on drugs and dancing you are not eating or replenishing your electrolytes so the unbalance messes with your brain.

People who die from water are those drinking a gallon or more in an extremely short period of time. It flushes minerals (namely sodium) out of the system and causes the body to fail.
As far as aiding directly to weight loss I cant say but as we all know water aids in making just about everything easier on our bodies.
Just make sure that you replace electrolytes if you start trying to use excessive water to aid in fat loss.

It's called hypernatremia and it is more prevalent with endurance athletes who tend to over compensate with their hydration.
