    diabetic newbie diet, critique pleez

    5'11 176 low bf 30yr old diabetic type 1

    just startin this diet thing and here is an example of todays meal list
    i work third shift and workout bout 730am soooo.

    workout
    pwo whey shake
    pwomeal 2 eye of round steak/ cup of green beans or pintos
    sleep till night and go to work
    meal1 at work 2 pouch of tuna wheat bread
    meal2 at work chicken and rice dinner
    meal3 at work chicken and rice dinner
    before workout oatmeal and protein bar

    i know its not perfect, and im not goin for any professional bodybuilding competitions no time soon. just lookin to bulk up and not spend all my money on meals through out the day, i can manage somethin close to this. please help

    maybe i should eat less each meal and spread it out more.?

    You need to find your TDEE then bump it up by 500 cals. Its hard to tell you what to do when i dont have calories set at a number. Although your layout seems to be simple and easy,i would add fish oil to every meal,and like i said find your TDEE then adjust the cals from what you have to meet your needs its simple as that. NO ONE should ever try to bulk,cut,or maintain without knowing what type of calorie surplus ,or lack there of, they are in. Its kinda like shooting in the dark...TOP

    not sure what tdee is, but im gonna guess u are sayin the total calories i need a day to maintain my weight and then bump that up 500 right? how do i myself find out exactly what my tdee is...fish oil, the supplement? isnt that for heart health

    TDEE - Total Daily Energy Expenditure...just do a little research bro, I'm sure you'll find what your looking for.

    But before you find your TDEE you'll need to know your BMR - Basal Metabolic Rate

    Are you on this diet now?

    With you being Type 1 I'm thinking that's a lot in injections?

    How many IU's of slin are you taking per meal?

    i take one injection a night....its a long acting insulin called lantus.....as long as i get the rice in me and a potato i run pretty good blood sugars.....if i get a spike from somethin sweet then i can take a novolog thats fast acting...bout 10-15 units when needed
