Calories to maintain body weight
Hey
So I am wondering the following:
If I am correct, then my BMR calculates only enough calories to maintain my lean body mass, not my total body mass that would include my fat.
So my question is, if I were to only take in just enough calories to maintain my lean body mass, and if I have a lot of extra body fat, would I lose body fat simply by sticking to the number of calories needed for my lean body mass?
In other words, does your body use calories to maintain its body fat weight?
I am fat . I weigh about 260lbs, am 6ft, 25yrs old and male. Trying to lose weight, and I'm trying to figure out how many calories my body would naturally burn to maintain 260lbs. (Thus, I could figure out how many calories I would have to deficit daily so I could burn the fat off).
