    ahhh BIG cheat day!!!!

    ok so I was hanging out with some people yesterday and had the biggest cheat day I have had in a LONG time. I dont know exactly what i ate but im gonna post up what i do know....

    this is gonna be painful writing this..

    oreos.. about 10
    2 frosted sugar cookies
    about 1/2 poptart
    1 94 cal beer lol
    about 35 nacho chips, some with cheese/salsa
    pastrami
    grilled chicken w/ a bit of bbq sauce that it was cooked in, but didnt put any extra on it
    1 pickle
    1 protein bar: about 13g fat, 8g carb, n like 20g protein or something like that. prolly around 220 cal total
    2 low carb monster enegery drinks 20 cal/4 carbs each
    about 6 diet sodas
    and to top it all off...
    1/2 medium dominos pizza pie

    I also had a muscle milk earlier in the morning

    OK, so now that I got that out of the way and I am done crying I have a queston. When I got home today I lost pretty much 50-60% of my abdominal definition... i know i rlyyyy pigged out, but is it possible to lose that much definition in one day? is it water retention? I am like bugging out cause it is actually amazing to see abs one day and then... not so much abs the next. Atleast I know i have 0 toruble trying ot bulk up now...

    anyways.. what do you guys have to say? Im kinda hoping for something like a water retention answer... but it actually looks like i packed on like 1 to 2 %bf in a day and i dont even know if this is possible. (This was all in a time period from about 3pm to 3am)

    just nwated to say this doesnt look anthing close to how i usually eat, except for the grilled chiken and the occasonal protein bar

    Believe it or not, I don't think that cheat day is horrible. The food choices are but you didn't seem to binge or consume mass quantities.

    I find when you're that bloated after a cheat day, it's often because you A) drank nowhere near as much water as you would have while on your diet. B) Are used to eating so clean and consuming next to no added sodium/sugar. C) It really is psychological, you see with your mind.

    Bro I feel your pain, I too had a ridiculoous cheat day on the weekend

    started out with McD's
    Hotcakes
    bacon egger
    bacon egg bagel
    hashbrowns (2)
    then large slurpee
    and about 3 bucks on 5 cent candies
    then another large slurpee more candy and chocolate bar

    lololololololol it gets better
    then lets see 4 jr bacon cheeses fom wendys and a bacon blue burger and fries
    about 8 cookies
    a pack of wine gums
    6-8 mini cupcakes and about 6-8 diet cokes (love diet coke lol watching the weight right lol)

    I couldn't even begin to add up the calories but I will say on friday morning i was 197 at 9-10% and wed night i'm right back. There so all in all I wouldn't worry about it just train a little harder this week maybe lower the carbs, more cardio, whatever works and don't even let it bother you cause if you do you'll mind **** yourself

    Eat big, lift big, get big. But I wouldn't waist my time on oreos. Cal for cal I'd eat sum pizza.

    Yeah Pizza is usually my cheat mea. I can devour an entire pizza usually but I try not to lol.

    yeah Pizzas def a good cheat meal, calorie/fat/bad carb bomb but usually lots of protein and its Fing delicious. Don't let a cheat day F with your head in a couple days you'll be back where you were. Cheat days are neccessary they keep your head straight, and I think a lot of body builders are closet case fat kids, so you know you want it!! I'd never post my cheat meals though, I'd totally put yours to shame

    I'm sure it's mostly water retention, due to alot more sodium as Damien mentioned. This happens to me after a big carb up day (with much cleaner food) but after a day or 2 it subsides.

    Actually I think a HUGE cheat day every once in a while (once a month?) is good for you - kind of 'resets the clock'.

    I did a bunch of cardio yesterday and drank a LOT of water, and feeling a bit better today. Actually kep[t all of my cravings for junk food away yesterday and i didnt want any carbs at all..... maybe not be great, but yesterday i prolly had less than 20 carbs, and just upped my protein and fat a little to balance it out. Feeling pretty good today.

    Just ucks to know that i can lose that much control over something Ive been working on for so long over something that only taste good for like 15 seconds while im eating it.

    Hey american oak, its really not that big a deal, there's nothing wrong with eating those foods(sparingly). I bet you it's all mostly in your head.

    It is ok to cheat,, sometimes its good for u. Especially if you lifting is at a stand still. I've been steadily on par w my diet w 1 cheat meal a week for 6 weeks. I'm loosen fat gettn lean. I'm taken 5 days off from liften ima gonna eat a lot, cheat a bit, but when I get back to it I expect to lift my ass off w more intensity, it'll bump me past plateau... At least that's the plan..

    AFAIK, low calories, and enriched with minerals and vitamins etc, maybe higher sodium but still... I consume a whole jar sometimes in one day

    sounds lke a good idea, if i ever ate badly for 5 days idk what i would do tho lol.

    I wrote the 1 pickle just to point out increased sodium, was hoping everyone was just gonna say water retention and that i didnt getA LOT of bf in one day lol

    Take me back 12 months and that looks like my average daily intake LOL
    Still couldnt break 140, eating clean for 8 months got me to almost 170...

    Don't even talk to me about cheat days ! LOL. Went out for a mates 20th on Saturday, consumed ABOUT 5 bottles of Smirnoff Ice, 3 Pints of Strongbow and Half a bottle of vodka + random shots out like Sambucca & tequila. At the end of the night I got the drunken munchies and slammed a Chicken burger + chips down my face, then got home to find a pizza in the fridge (being drunk, I thought it wouldn't harm me), so I demolished that too.

    The next morning I wake up hungover, and have another off day, I ate a KFC (DUN DUN DUN!!!!!) and some other crap. Not really the weekend I'd hoped for, but the night out kicked ass !

    Jumped back on the horse Monday with a kickass chest session ;P

    We all have those days haha. 2 weeks ago for my friends bday had a couple guys an gals over.. like 15 lol. i had a whole 24 to myself of bud light and then ordered the family meal from a pizza place when it was me an 3 guys left.. hthe family meal is 2 XL pizzas, cake, 2lb wings, 2L pop and potato wegdes lol was one hell of a night!
