    Beef jerkey!!!!

    Hi.

I heard Beef Jerkey is a good source of protein!

    Is this true?

I am talkin bout the savoury or spiced kind not the sweet kind!

What is the best beef jerkey in the UK?

I eat a bag almost every day. Low sodium Teriyaki natural turkey jerkey is my favorite. It's expensive but worth it imo.

Is it available in the UK?

How much is it per bag?

Not sure. I buy from a store called Trader Joe's and it's about 5 US dollars.

I usually stay away from jerky because of the sodium levels, but this intrigues me! haha

Exactly how "low sodium" is it?

Try this recipe guys. You use A/C filters (non-fiberglass 20"x20")and a box fan to make traditional jerky from drying without heat. It works very well and I can't hardly eat the store bought kind anymore after trying this. You have to make the brine though its part of the curing process. If you don't mind the sodium or just eat a little jerky at a time you haveto try this.

220mg per serving I believe. A bag has 3 servings but I can easily go through a bag a day just by munching on it between meals. That's 660 mg total and that's still less than most other bands one serving.
