Brown rice sucks
hey guys i was just wonderin how u guys eat brown rice every day.. can u give me some creative ways to make it taste good

boil it for longer than usual, it makes it more chewy, as opposed to like eatingtoe nails.
Also add bbq sauce and red onion, always works for me

If u find tht u cant hack it no matter what you do, switch over to basmati rice, its the nicest rice and the GI is not much higher

I actually like it... it has a 'meatiness' that white rice doesn't, and I like the nutty flavor.
Try cooking some chopped garlic and onion ahead of time and add it to the rice. Also, you can cook the rice in chicken stock (watch the sodium, buy low sodium if you can find it) instead of water - it works wonders for the flavor.

Call me crazy, but I can put Cholula Hot Sauce on just about anything to make it taste good. Brown rice+cholula+some shredded chicken=good stuff. Also, it only has about 20mg sodium per tsp. I don't get to eat it much now since i've started CKD. But before, I was eating more frequently.

The hot sauce is a good call - I use that alot too - Frank's Red Hot works for me! Yes, sodium is RIDICULOUS in that stuff though, so watch it!

F*ck brown rice.
Lentils, pearl barley, sweet potato's, quinoa, buckwheat, wheat germ are other alternatives I use.

thanks guys, so u recommend i just ditch the brown rice and go for the tastier carbs cause i can get 300g of protein in per day easy i like chicken fish and turkey , but when it comes to my carbs i just hate it, and yes im in a bulk so tell me what carbs i should have
