    4,800 calories a day? How?!

Hi guys, though I'm a new member here I've been following this site for over a year (my "unique" story is New guy, very unique story there in my introduction on the site).

I am 6'5" 167 pounds, I was a highly competitive distance runner for many years and got into weight training over a year ago when I quit running for good. Though I was able to gain about 25 pounds I peaked and could never get over 175. Though I was eating a ton and often I know it wasn't enough (I had a plan set up by a self acclaimed nutritionist).

If my calculations are correct, I need about 4,800 calories a day to build mass. I very much understand the values of hard work, patience, and consistency in training and now that I have money to afford as much food as I need I'm ready to give this another go and reach my 200 pound goal! After that I'll make a new goal, but one thing at a time for now.

I know there are many VERY smart people on here, so I'm asking someone to PLEASE help me come up with a well balanced, high calorie diet which will help me to reach my goals. If someone posted a day by day diet, I would follow it 100%.....I'm looking for something long-term, this isn't some "phase", I just never had the money to do this properly before. I work in a bank so my days are not very active, beside lifting, though on the weekends I enjoy playing frisbee golf and volleyball, nothing too intense though. Thanks.

Edit: I'm 23 years old if that is of any importance.

I'm sorry man, but I highly doubt anyone is going to take the time to come up with a diet for you. My advice is to look at some of the newbies who posted their diet plans and tweak them to fit your daily caloric intake and then post it for the pro's to critique for you.

    Good luck buddy.

I can understand that. I've looked at a ton of examples of diets that have been tweaked, I'm just having trouble finding where to add more calories while keeping the ratios about where they should be. But I'll take your advice and post what I come up with it as soon as I can finish it all. Thanks.

My current diet. Get the additional cals via complex carbs ~500g.

    My 2nd cycle/Diet set for August 13th.

^^^ This. If you do the research, we will definitely help you make a good diet but we're not going to design it from scratch for you. There are a multitude of diets posted here that have been critiqued and tweaked to be good diets. Check those out and design one for yourself along those lines, changing macros where necessary to fit your caloric goals of course. Then post it up here and we'll go through it with a fine toothed comb.

Or you can just copy Damien's diet and KNOW you have it right!!! I personally find it fun and challenging coming up with my diet plans, and you should too as it will help you to learn, as opposed to just copying somebody else.

Good luck, I expect we'll see you back here again soon!
