Am I right in my way of thinking???
Okay, so what I attempt to do when I cut is, since my TDEE is around 2100-2200, I decreae my calorie intake by about 200 and then do an hour of fasted cardio in the AM. This puts me at about a 700 calorie deficit for the day. If I multiply 700 by 7 (days in a week), I am in a 4,900 calorie deficit.
So what happens if, say on the weekend, I splurge on junk food. Let's say I eat nasty s--t all day which comes to about 4,000 calories and I also don't do cardio for, let's say, 2 days that week. If you're calculating calories burned per week, that means I'm only burning just over 1,000 cals/week.
Does this mean that basically 70% of my hard work for burning fat is wasted if I were to do this every week?? This is only a hypothetical question. I no longer cheat when I cut, and I do cardio 6-7 days per week.
I'm just wondering if this way of thinking has merit??
Also, is there a certain number that any of you shoot for during the week to burn a desired amount of fat? For example, if you wanted to burn one pound of fat per week, is there some magic number that you shoot for in order to reach that goal?

You can easily outdo a week of moderate dieting by a weekend of moderate cheating. Very easily

Max is absolutely right. Well said max. A pound of fat is roughly 3500 calories, so if your deficit is say, 200 cals a day of your numbers, then 3500 divided by 200 = the amount of days it takes to lose a pound of fat (respectively) But no serious person about health and strength conditioning thinks about about wasting a week to gain a weekend of frivolity.
