I play ice hockey as well and I can assure you, it doesn't help haha. I'm too beat on game day to follow through with my bodybuilding routine and don't even get me started on trying to play that anaerobic sport in a caloric deficit.

With regard to the diet, you'll want to eat 6-8 smaller meals per day. Each one centered around lean protein of some kind. Plenty of complex carbs surrounding your workouts and games. Within these paramaters, take in maintenance calories which we can assume is going to be around 3000 for a guy your size, at least. The hockey/cardio/lifting will achieve a decent deficit and you'll be able to trim away a lb. or so of fat every week while making some decent gains at first. Soon enough though, you'll plateau as you really can't build muscle and lose fat at the same time for too long.

What's your diet like now? Your training experience? Cycle experience? Body fat percentage?

Alright, it's clear your diet knowledge is minimal. There's nothing wrong with that but I can't do anything specific to help you until you understand the basics. Read the info I've provided in the link below and then, give me something to work with: a proposed meal plan, a specific goal, something. You're in the right place!
