    PPWO meal question

If I finish my workout and drink my PWO shake at 4:00 pm, should I still have a carb with my PPWO meal at 5:30 pm if I plan to go to sleep at 8:30? Or is that too close to bed to be eating carbs? I am bulking, but I'm trying to stay at lean as possible.

    That is fine....

I would not worry about eating carbs right up untill bed but just tapering them off so that your only consuming a small amount of decent complex carbs

Eating carbs before bed will not make you fat.....

I agree with Base for the most part, especially for the fact that you said you're bulking. The only thing I would consider is none to very few carbs in your bedtime meal (assuming you eat right before you hit the pillow) even while bulking, and when it comes to cutting that's non-negotiable IMHO.

I always eat right before bed. Usually cottage cheese or egg salad.

If your training balls to the wall your going to be depleted PWO...

You cannot then become full loaded in one PWO meal.... I don't care what 'gaspari' says.... LOL

Carbs in your PPWO meal are fine and they will be used to replenish any depleted glycogen stores and hopefully spare protein during the night....

Make it a good choice tho... Oats, brown rice etc... Something fairly low GI IMO

    Good luck
