Chicken smells like butt
I bought the freshest chicken boneless skinless. I think it was dated 11/18 (yesterday was 11/13). Cooked it yesterday 375 degrees in oven on foil for 48 minutes. Took it out looked like it could use a couple min. Put it back in. Probably put it in too long kinda dry think I overcooked it slightly. Don't give a sht about that what is bugging me is it smells nasty.
Cut it and froze it right after I cooked it. Can't figure this out. Eating some I heated up right now. I used no seasonings whatsoever. Didn't realize it was going to come out nasty smelling. Trying to figure out what I messed up. Any idea? Also would you eat it cause im eating this bag and if it doesn't make me throw up probably going to end up eating the others too.

Didn't smell before or during cooking? If so, bin it.
Maybe you should bin it anyway not worth the food poisoning risk. But I'm a tight arse and would definitely taste it to see if it's ok.Last edited by Back In Black; 11-14-2011 at 12:56 PM.

I follow the "When in doubt throw it out" rule. Never ever get sick from food.

I was surprised how stank unseasoned chicken smells. Not appetizing at all. I would never recommend eating something you might think is bad, but if you next batch smells the same...well, just know that plain chicken is kinda foul. Bwahaahaaaaa. No, but seriously, it smells gross.

Agreed chicken doesnt smell the best. When cutting I boil mine with no seasoning and store a few days worth in tupperware. Smells like a fart when I open it, Just hold breath, chew, wash down and repeat!!
