No. Especially if taken with milk. If you're overweight you should avoid any lactose and minimize carbs.

[QUOTE=junk2222yard;6260330]I knew the carb part, but can you expland on the "avoid any lactose" bit? Why is that so? Just because of the fat, or is there something about lactose that inhibits fat loss?[/QUOTE
lactose = sugar
when cutting especially (but with all diets IMO) u want to minimize sugar intake as a whole. sugar causes insulin spike. insulin will greatly inhibit ur ability to mobilize fat into the blood for oxidation. not to mention sugar is just not good for u! dont get me wrong i love the taste of sugar and could go on a sugar only diet for weeks at a time but that does not mean i should.
i saw a thing online about some of leading cause of heart attacks and u know what they were??
1. stress
2. inflammation
3. sugar

It's not bad as long as your overall calories for the day are right number

not necessarily true. while cals in vs cals out will more than likely dictate weight gain/weight loss, nutrient timing plus macro nutrient split will dictate body composition IMO. this is far more important than weight.
assuming this post is in regards to defending the ingestion of special k, other than carbohydrates i dont see where this food source contributes much else to diet. maybe it has some vitamins? IMO there are better carb sources depending on ur goals.
considering u have more body fat than u prefer i would be much more discriminate in the choices of carbs i utilized.Last edited by --->>405<<---; 11-20-2012 at 07:52 AM.

If I remember correctly, special K even have *more* sugars then regular cornflakes.
