    Massive postworkout meal...Good or Bad?

So for the past several weeks, preworkout, I've been eating either

    a) a banana or two with two servings of protein powder
    b) two servings of granola with two servings of protein powder
    c) just two servings of protein powder

My preworkout supps fuel me pretty well, right now. But when I reach home, it's time to eat, and I've been scarfing down massive meals.

Today, at 3pm, I had three chicken quarters, four protein shakes, and 12 servings of granola.

    My PCF are 282/498/75.

I'm just wondering if this is too big a meal. It usually ends up being my last meal of the day or I'll have a snack.

If I'm unclear on anything, just ask and I'll clarify. Thanks for your help. Hope my gluttony is amusing lol.

    Just after the workout.

For the day, I'm at (PCF) 336/514/78

    In calories, 1344 + 2056 + 702 = 4102

On most days, the fat intake is a little higher.

    I'm 6'0, 175-180lbs.

Well, I have a small breakfast and that one large meal takes me to the next day, if I stay in for the night.

I guess my real concern is if I'm consuming too many carbs in one sitting. But I think I know the answer to my own question, when you put it like that. Just looking for re-assurance I guess.

    I get paranoid sometimes.

Also, if you could help, would granola be considered complex carbs?

Both. Granola itself is complex, but usually it has sugar and other things added...as far as a ratio I have no idea.
Whats your bf%? In all honesty, it doesn't matter a whole lot when you eat your food, as long as you eat it. But I would eat more of a variety of things instead of living off granola and protein shakes...
Maybe cut that granola intake in half and eat something pre workout. Youre obviously trying to bulk so you need to make some better food choices all around..are you just eating a boat load of granola cause its easy and you don't have to prepare nothing ?

I love granola. If it's not that, I'll just down oatmeal. But oatmeal bloats me up more. I don't always eat granola like that but it happens often. Sometimes I'll eat french toast with maple syrup. Or I'll make pasta with my meat sauce or make burgers. Or i'll get my carbs from fruits.

I try to manage my macros. Say 35/35/30 or 40/35/25, around that range.

granola doesn't bloat you but oatmeal does?

someone that is like 81kgs , id probaly say eating 4000 calories a day is not necessary. Especially clean 3000 clean calories is hard enough to consume as is and going towards 4-5000 is extremely hard clean.

why not lesson your food intake to 2400 calories of clean food.

If you have your macro breakdown for the day right, it doesn't matter. Just get your macros in anytime. Post workout means nothing. there is no "magic window", just spread your meals out and you're good.

With an IF type regimen it wouldn't be a bad idea, but I don't know if it'd be my approach in a more standard diet. Based on your macros, I assume you're bulking?

I'm just hungry as hell. I would like a little size, but I'm looking to get stronger. Maybe 10 to 15 pounds, but I don't want to pack on fat too quick.

When I eat oatmeal, I eat a lot. That shit is addicting. I'm talking about that Quaker Oats Brown Maple Sugar. Gotta have a little sweet.

2400 leaves me starving. If I eat 3000 clean, I'd shed about 5 pounds quick and bodyfat would drop too. I'm not looking to get ripped, where size is stripped off my bi's and shoulders. I'm hoping to develop more size in my shoulders, back and chest.

Man, time to drop that garbage and eat 'real' oats. Sweeten with splenda/stevia, some cinnamon, and add some berries. *That* shit is addicting.

Well, I dunno about "[as much sugar as a can of soda]", but you guys are right. I'm lowering my sugar intake starting Monday (after Wrestlemania on Sunday). More protein and cooking my own meals!

    Thanks my people.
