Is Beef Good or Bad During Cycle?
Hey bros,
Should a person be concerned enough about cholesterol while on gear to avoid beef, even the lean stuff? I hear it's the bomb for muscle gain, then I also hear you should avoid cholesterol while on gear.
Any consensus on that?
Thanks bros!

Protien is good. Lean beef is great. Don't worry about it.

Creatine, carnatine, b12, glutamine, iron. Why would anyone want to eat that crap.
I read a while back about a study that Harvard Med school did on cholesteral. They measured cholesteral levels before and after weight training. It didn't matter if it was high/low/normal in the before, the after was always a normal level.
Cholesteral is a building block of testosterone btw....

Thanks bros! I'm just about the most cautious person on the planet, if you haven't been able to tell by now.
So was I wacked to think cholesterol should be a particular concern during a cycle? I mean moreso than when not on gear?

Lean beef should be too much of a worry about cholesterol, anyway I have seen many studies showing dietary cholesterol intake has little to do with your bodies cholesterol levels. But if you are on gear that ups cholesterol and Blood pressure you should have your levels checked. Better to worry a little about things then not worry at all.

Thanks Pain.
Just had my cholest checked a couple weeks ago -186. I know in my case it follows diet closely. When I went through my Insane Vegetarian phase years ago it went down to 165 -and I felt like death warmed over. (Summary: vegetarianism and bodybuilding are mutually exclusive, at least for me.)

Sorry hearing mutually exclusive kicks back some old stat memories. haha.
Good luck and keep your diet the same and add some lean beed then see what your chol does, it would be interesting.

Thanks Pain. Fortunately I never had to take Statistics.
Well, now that I checked again, I'm wrong!! (Gosh, that's never happened before!) Lean beef isn't higher in cholesterol than chicken, like I had originally assumed, at least not much. It's liver and shellfish that are high. (Hmmm, anybody want some frozen scallops?)

Yup Yup, I am afraid that the health crazied media has given all beef a bad name, lean beef doesn't deserve the unhealthy label.
