casein protein powder before bed when cutting is perfect right ?

so on a very strict cut at the moment, only getting in 100g carbs depending on the day, is casein powder a perfect thing to have before bed as a last meal kind of thing ? just bought some from biotech usa.

or you can just eat egg whites.

16 ounces of egg whites has 50 grams of protein and 250 calories. At Costco, this will run you something like a buck and a half. eggs are a slow burning protein source. and it will fill your gut better, without all the gas.

one cup of cottage cheese provides 25 grams of sloooow burning protein, but also has 125 calories, not ideal for a strict cutting diet.....

    ^it's expensive
    gives me gas
    not a whole food

but it's better than nothing I suppose

but gram for gram when it comes to available protein, both casein, cottage cheese, and egg whites have about the same calories.

so if you want to go cottage cheese, you can do that too. it has no extra calories beyond what egg whites offers.

but with high protein intake, for me, I get too gassy even with beano, gas relief, and lactaid.

which is why I eat so many egg whites.

    It's really up to you

Let me add to my last post. The reason I prefer whole foods over the shake is due to digestion. The more shakes I drink, the more bloated I stay. I don't think that is what you want on a cut.

I was short protein last night. So 4 ounces of a granola type cereal, 2 cups of milk, and 2 scoops of whey isolate.

I bloated so bad, even with all three enzyme pills I mentioned above. not sure why I bloat so easily in my old age....?
