high protein snacks when cutting okay ?

when cutting in the evening i get very hungry is it okay to sit back and eat 200g chicken slices or 200g sliced beef ? my question is is eating high protein diet fine to do when cutting even if its more than 1.5g per lb of bodyweight ? i should be aiming for about 280g protein if i consume 350g some days will this slow down fat loss ? also i plan on having 2 salmon fillets later is this okay due to high fat content ?

Does it fit your macros and calorie goal? Yes, then eat away otherwise no. It's a strange question. Can I eat when I get hungry? Yeah you can but if you go over your calorie goal when trying to burn fat it might not work out so well with the cutting.

todays i have had 1650 calories macros being 35g fats, 85g carbs and 240g protein so i guess this means i dont have to feel guilty about chomping down 60-70g lean protein before bed as a snack.

You should be trying to eat your set amount of calories with the macro split you have. Falling short at the end of the day is a recipe for failure. Plan ahead. Up your fats and your carbs.

Not sure if u are asking if too much protein is detrimental to body function or if you are asking if it is okay to go over your protein in lieu of not hitting your fat and carb macro????

i dont particually calorie count however i do count macros which are atm about 80g carbs, 30-40g fats & 250g protein however i was wondering if im to consume more protein a day is this a probalem with fat loss ? im 85kg 11% and roughly getting in around 2000cals a day. question is i know adding carbs & extra fats may slow down fat loss progress but will having more protein do the same ? i only consume carbs before training in the AM and my fats mainly come from my meats. so ive eaten 250g protein today 40g fats & 80g carbs so all my macros but say if im to eat another 50g protein from salmon or beef does this slow down the whole fat loss progress as im consuming more protein ? i guess if i was to go by 2g protein by lb bodyweight i could do this easy right ? bottom line is will eating more protein than i need slow down fat loss or because its protein should it be fine. obv if i was eating 500g a day it wouldnt but going over protein macros is okay to do so slightly ?????

fat loss is a function of caloric intake and cardio.

eat at least 1.5 grams per one pound of lbm

Slow absorbing protein (like cottage cheese) is preferred for Muscle preservation over fasted state. . However the IIFM crowd would say it doesn't matter. I lean towards protein.
