    Bananas

    Hi everyone.

I was wondering if it can hurt your health to eat to many bananas a day. I read somewhere that to many bananas can deliver to much potassium in your system, and this increase in potassium can be hard on the kidneys. I plan on eathing 3 to 4 bananas a day. Would this be unsafe?

    Thanks.

3-4 bananas a day is just fine. Usually a banana has 400-500mg of potassium in it at most that is probably 2000mg a day plus whatever else your diet has you eating. The daily recommended intake is 4700mg I believe, you will have to look that up.

3-4 bananas if fine, I usually have 2 before the gym most days. I'd imagine you'd have to eat quite a lot for it to have a negative effect.

Unless you already have chronic kidney disease it's fine.

your body handles whole foods really well. Put your faith in whole, unprocessed foods everytime
