slim fast for bulking
alot of time during the day im in a place where i cant get the food that i need and i will soon be bulking so im gonna need to eat like a horse wouldnt slim fast give me the calories and nutrition i need. it only helps you lose weight if you take it for losing weight which is one for breakfast one for lunch and a meal for dinner. but my plan is to drink it like its fu*cking going out of style. any feedback would be great thanx.

I wouldnt drink it. It has too much sugar and the vast majority of the protein in it comes from soy. Not good.
Its much cheaper (and far better nutritionally speaking) to buy some Whey and Oats and make a shake of that.

If your stomach can handle the protein with the milk, then go for it. As far as the Slimfast, sounds good to me so long as you're eating regular food at least three times a day (preferably 4X).

I used to mix my milk and protein powder in a shaker bottle, toss it in the freezer for an 1 hour or 2. Then take it with me to school and work. Itll slowly defrost throughout the day and will be nice and cold for up to 2-3 hours.
OR
If your at school they sell milk there I assume??? Toss some protein powder in a jug. By a few carts of milk, mix, shake, drink.

I never looked this up, but I heard that a slimfast shake has similar nutritional value to a butterfinger. However, the butterfinger has more protein. I'd go with the butterfinger!!

It is not acceptable. If you are going to take bulking seriously, you really need to plan, pre-make, and schedule your meals. At work I bring chicken and veggies for lunch 1 and oatmeal and a protien shake for meal 2.
My suggestion is to get a bucket of meal replacement shake powder and bring one or two of those with you...

Funny this got brought up. Back in high school me and a teammate were hell bent on getting "huge" so we would drink them after our regular meals. I started to get fat. It's not a good idea, those things are HORRID nutritionally. They only work because people who were eating fast food before take in less calories by replacing it with a shake.

i can bring a shake with me to work and school and i work out right before lunch so that works out well i thought about meal replacement but how does it compare to eating real food i work for a farmer so im really busy and dont have that much time but i dont go to work till after lunch and i work till about 6 so maybe i wont be missing a whole lot if i can get a shake out there or meal replacment.

I like this one:
http://www.allsportsnutrition.com/pr...?productid=633
I drink mine with 1% milk. It works for me. I adjust it to .75 servings bacause of adding protien in the milk. If you want you could also add something else, like a banana or something

just spend one night a week and cook all the food for that week. put the food for the day in plastic containers and heat it up at lunch time.

I say go for it. If you can lose weight quickly then any source of calories will help. Just keep in mind that it is in ADDITION to any bulking diet you have. Do NOT include it in your diet list. Buy a case and have it. There are better shakes pre made and contained but if you already have access to them, no prob.
If you get fat from something, it is one of two things. You are eating too much or you are not doing enough cardio. Need to find a balance between the two. If it isnt turning into muscle, rethink the diet.

well im gonna be bulking the plan is to get a little fat and when bulking i dont want to do a whole lot of cardio. To ask more questions why is soy protien bad for you and why is it horrible nutritionly ive pretty much decided not to use it but these are just a few things id like to know.

Im curious too. Some people do not lose weight as easily as others. Just precautionary to take in only protein and such for bulking diets. Some people can eat whatever and still cut to their desire.

I suggest for convenience RTD protein shakes. Although expensive, they seem to be better tasting than the powder shakes. (try myoplex, metrx, and nitrotech) The carb content is high, however, but that shouldn't be a problem if you're bulking.
