    Green Tea vs. Caffeine

    Sorry if this is and old post...I couldn't find it anyway.

    Just saw that Perricone guy on T.V. and he guaranteed a 10lb. fat loss if you are carrying excess fat and drink coffee and you substitute green tea for the coffee....10lbs. in 6 weeks....
    He said something in the coffee other than the caffeine made blood sugar fluctuate,etc. He wasn't knocking the caffeine...just the coffee as Green tea has caffeine..

    Anyone have or tried something similar or have similar results. Suggest green tea over coffee?

    I love green tea! I know its very good for your immune system and is a good fat burner.

    Maybe it's becasue people add milk and sugar to coffee. Coffee also contains about 4x more caffeine than green tea.

    Green tea is not going to furn 10 pound of fat in 6 weeks. Lossing fat will all depend on your diet.

    I know, right? I drink around 48-60oz of coffee by 4:00...seems to be the cut off point for maintaining good sleep...i guess that can be translated to about 4-6 cups.     Do you meam 4 pm? I drink 2 very large very strong expresso's about 7 am.
    That's it. If I drank that stuff in after noon or evening I would never go to
    sleep. Blows my mind when I'm in a nice restraunt and they ask me if I want
    coffee about 8 or 9 pm. How Ya Been?

    Doing ok...man...docs are bein biaches, though.
    Yeh, I meant 4PM and i drink a dark roast usually...sometimes french roast...like the stronger stuff, every once and a while expresso...but 60 oz of coffee til 4:00....if I didn't have to get up in the morn....i would say yes to that waitress that asks "Coffee", sir....gotta have my 8!

    Doctors are just trying to give you the minimum dose they can get away with to cover their butts and still make a buck. The endo I saw even suggested on test implant pellets. Then I asked her for a script for Saizen so I coud mail it to Canada. Then she left the office. funny stuff man.

    I drink at least 6-8 cups of very strong green tea a day and have for many years and I can gain wieght if I eat to many calories. There was a study I read some time back, don't remember all the details, but it showed that green tea reduced thyroid output.
