directly under your post there is a banner ad for Oasis, an excellent HRT clinic and a board sponsor.

There is a range for test levels. Depending on your age and the lab used they may be roughly 275-850 (cant remember exact numbers right now).

I was down around 150. The doc then does a bunch of other tests LH, estrogen etc to make sure that the levels are not low for some other reason. After that I was diagnosed with hypogonadism which basically means my nuts don't produce enough test. I am on weekly shots of test along with HCG . It is not cycled and is for life unless something better comes along in the next 50 or so years.

If you really need it, HRT can be a lifesaver literally. If you dont need it but go on it you may find you have shut down your test production forever and will be screwed if you ever go off. There are alot of things that can make you feel tired all the time. Talk to you doc and demand a free and total testosterone blood test. If they are low you may be on the right track here.

I complained to my Doctor about low libido and lethargy (I am 58 and on antidepressants). She said test might boot up the libido and give me a much more positive outlook. She did up my blood work and my test levels were a bit over 500, which is pretty good for a guy my age, so she would not put me on hrt.

Now I want my sex life back and I want more energy, so I signed up with an on-line hrt clinic for a 12 week cycle. OK but not great so far. 1mg test cip per week, novla etc. I am also cutting back on the antidepressants (libido killers). I am thinking that at my age I might be better off with HGH, so I'll give that a shot when I finish this cycle. Maybe I'll do both hgh and hrt.

I battle with the lethargy as well...do you follow a routine/regimine including exercise?
You mentioned you weren't doing great so far on your 12 week cycle, but didn't mention how far along or other factors of blood work including estrogen levels.
A positive note already is you've sought help for your symptoms and you've found a great forum for support and it looks like you have the ability to buy some goodies down the line!
    welcome

I'm 58 on anti-depressants and HRT. The HRT helped with the libido, but I increased the test cyp/wk to 300mg/wk and my total test went to 2600 now I am on PCT to start all over again. Moral- go slow. Back on Viagra. 2 weeks till the end of PCT and then lab work. Then try again. The HRT clinic won't allow an ASS cycle in lieu of HRT. I'll let you know how the next try goes. I am also doing HGH 2iu 2X 5/2 while on PCT. I workout 4-5 days a wk. Low libido and lethargy were the driving forces to try hormones. The HGH is not as strong for strength and sex as the test.

I am doing 30-90 min of aerobics 6 days a week and moderate weight work 3 days a week. I do feel better and feel more motivated. My big goals at the moment besides more sex, are to lose 30-40 lbs to reduce my blood pressure and try to get off anti depressants. If test helps I will keep doing it. I am also about convinced to start HGH +T-4. If this stuff works I should be able to cut way back on all my perscription meds and feel a lot better too.

Estrogen could well be a problem, but my bllodwork did not look at it. My program calls for me to do tamoxifen 3 time a week for the remainder of the cycle. We'll see if this give any intresting results.

that's interesting....i see that a bit....ppl taking anti-e's without knowing what their levels are....there must be a good reason....i guess an ounce of prevention....but i also heard you don't want estro too low either...i know i'm waiting to hear my estro levels this week after being on androgel and cyp for a few months...in the beginning of my hrt (during the mild doses of the gel) my estro was low normal.
keep us posted with all your figures including blood pressure with your hrt

My HRT clinic included the tamoxophene with the package of stuff they sent and provided a schedule for the stuff. They also sent hcg for the end of cycle pct with schedule and dosing directions. This is all new to me so for this first cycle I am just following clinic directions and hoping for the best.

But I am here cuz I do want the input of the more experienced folks. I will be a little wiser on the next go round, I hope.
