Women's HRT Question
Hey guys,
Hopefully one of you can answer this... My gf has just been to the doc and she complained of a few things he diagnosed as lack of progesterone and testosterone ... He prescribed her pills containing those hormones, but I am a little skeptical becasue I dont know a lot about HRT for chicks.
Do they have the same "shut down" problems? Will she need PCT if she decides stop? I think progesterone shouldnt case that, but what about test?
She is also on the pill.
Thanks.

I don't know... If one of the things she is complaining about is low sex drive, it may be the pill. Wife had that issue which went away after she stopped the pill.
I would say before starting any kind of male hormones, she should stop the pill for a while and see what happens. Be sure to use some other BC or we know what will happen!

Yes she complained about low sex drive, joint pains, feeling cold, etc. He told her she was having a few menopause symptons but she's only 30

To answer some of your questions no women do not have to do a pct. When women are doing hrt they also take the hormones a little different than males do. If she is experiencing those type of symptoms you may also want to look into getting her thyroid tested. Women have a testosterone level typical range is 14 - 76ng. She may want to do the following blood work and have it re evaluated.
CBC w/diff
Metabolic
Lipid
Total & Free Testosterone
DHEA-S
SHBG
E1
E2
E3
Progesterone
Complete Thyroid Panel w/TSH
maybe even an IGF-1
Also she may have the doctor check the pituitary gland to see if there are any tumors or so on because of her age.
