Arimidex
Anyone know just how long arimidex stays in your system? This is really the only piece of my HRT program that I don't feel 100% comfortable with when I think long term.
Doc has me on .5 my every 3 days and I am wondering about changing it to .5 every week. Estrogen was a little high but SHBG was still low......
What do you think?

Why are you uncomfortable with arimidex ? Due to the cholesterol issues?

Cholestrol is one issue. Just hate the idea of being on a drug long term. The hormones dont bother me because I am just replacing what is missing.

i have just been put on Arimidex also, how long is "long term"? Is this used just until the estrogen level has come down, or do you need it throughout the therepy?? Currently on Cyp(1cc/week), my Test was at 220 at the start of the cycle, and now 6 weeks later the Test was at 850. The estrogen started at 22, and now is in the mid 80's. I have been advised to take the Arimidex as follows; 1/day 1st week; then 1/2/every other day...along with the Cyp......

bump spyke, have you had your levels checked again and what dose did you decide on or stick with? I followed kind a like gp3 where ED for 1st week then now EOD but i don't want probs with cholesterol either....guess i need a new battery of tests as well...

I am still on the same dose. I have lost 15 lbs of fat and would like to drop another 10 or so. When I do that I may have it tested again and see if I still need it.
My doc says that since fat increases estrogen, a major drop in fat could mean I wont need the arimidex . I will let everyone here know what happens.

Spyke, How long did it take you to drop that much fat? I'm on my fourth week of my HRT program and my doc put me on Arimidex also. I would love to get rid of my gut. That is what bothers me the most about my appearance. But I know HRT is for the long haul and I hope there is more good things to come for my over all health.

I've never taken Arimidex but have thought about taking it for bloating issues. I'm currently on TRT and my Endo is really not into me making suggestions for him...sad I know.

No Arimidex is oral.
Wally, It took me since june to loose the fat. I could have done much more but wanted to go real slow so i would not loose muscle. Actually I probably have lost more then 15lbs of fat but replaced some of that weight with muscle. The key for me is increasing the cardio.

Spyke,I am at 18% BF(calipers) as of last Tues. I weighed 209lbs last thurday and I'm 5"11(37yrs old) My Dr. said that I should be seeing results within a few weeks. I have already seen a change in vascularity in my upper body(shoulders, biceps, traps, and chest). I am still wanting to see a change in mid section since I hold a good % of body fat there. After reading your history with the loss of fat, am I moving too fast(I have really never seen the veins on me before), or is that the whole point of taking this since alot of the loss is going to be water weight?

Surfstud18....last time was about 10 years ago, lorabolin, 1 6 week cycle. Used growth for about 3 months about 2 years ago, again saw results, but wasnt serious.....now, very serious about dosage, diet, workout, and cardio....but I know to loose the BF I need to get alot more serious about diet, my dr. recomended me to go on winnie next week and cut the test down from 1cc/week to .60/week along with 1 50mg pill/winnie every 3 days.....along with the arimidex ....

Winnie is the most used for cutting cycles what's your diet plan look like? Work out plan? I think ciruit training with the winnie would help. I think i would even add anavar

I would inject the winnie as well the pill form is harder on the liver. If you do decide to go with the oral grab some milk Thistle

Injecting it also has the advantage of avoiding the “first pass” through your liver, and thus places your liver under less stress

I ahve used all three anti e dex fem and exe and exe does not mess with your lip levels try and get him to give you this

Gp3, here's an example of the diet I'm doing right now to lean up for a contest, follow something similar and I guarantee you will lose BF as well.
Cutting Diet
9:00am – 8eggwhites + 1scp V60 (protein blend) + 1cup oats
Prot(50), Carbs(55), Fat(5)
11:30am – 8oz Lean Steak + ½ Yam + 1cup Veg
Prot(50), Carbs(35), Fat(5)
1:30pm – 8oz Chicken breast + 1cup oats
Prot(50), Carbs(60), Fat(5)
4:30pm – 6oz Lean Steak, chicken or Turkey + ½ Yam + 1 cup Veg
Prot(40), Carbs(35), Fat(5)
7:00pm – 12egg whites + 1cup oats + ½ cup fatfree cottage cheese (blended to make pancakes) Sugar free syrup and spray butter used for dressings.
Prot(60), Carbs(60), Fat(5)
10:00pm – 6oz Steak + 6oz Chicken + 1cup Veg
Prot(70), Carbs(5), Fat(10)
12:30am – 6-8oz Salmon + 1 ½ cup Veg
Prot(50), Carbs(5), Fat(10)
Total Macros
Prot - 375
Carb - 250
Fat – 45
Calories = approx 2900.
Adjust carbs as needed to play with calorie intake, normally I use 200carbs/day.

Or you can try this diet plan or kinda mix both.
Meal 1
9:30 a.m.
6oz chicken breast + muli V + 1 tsp flax
(0 carbs) + (14g fat) + (35 pro) = 266 calories
Meal 2: Pro/fat
11:30 a.m.
6oz chicken + 100g sweet potato (30carbs)
Prot (40) / Carbs (30) / Fat (0) = calories/280
Meal 3: Pro/carb
1:30 p.m.
1 can tuna + 2 slices wheat bread + 200mg chromium + 100mg b-complex
[ (335 cal) + (26 carbs) + (4g fat) + (49 pro) ]
Work Out 2:30-3:30 p.m.
Meal 4: PWO Pro/carb
3:45 p.m.
1 cups oats + 2 scoops whey + 200mg chromium + 100mg b-complex
Prot (50) / Carbs (55) / Fat (5) = calories/460
Meal 5: Pro/carb
6:00 p.m.
Try 6oz chicken + 100g B.Rice (approx 30carbs)
Prot (40) + Carbs (30) + Fat (0) = calories/280
Meal 6: Pro/fat 8:00 p.m.
Easy meal, 8oz salmon + 1 cup veggies
prot (40) + Carbs (5) + Fat (12) = calories/290
Meal 7: Pro/fat
10:00 p.m.
1 can tuna + 3 egg whites + 1 tsp flax + veggies
white on the eggs are, approx 3g protein/eggwhite I believe, buy them in liquid form.. egg beats, easy to measure
(2360 cal) + (145carbs) + (60 fat) +(310 Pro) = Total My calculations
