    test cyp or prop

ok I know that test cyp at about 200mg ew is common in HRT. I am considering going the hrt route and was wondering if I want it to kick in faster and didn't mind eod jabs and wanted to use test prop what should I do to equal that in cyp
in other words would say 100mg prop eod be equal to 200mg cyp ew?

prop should kick in within a few days as oppossed to a few weeks for the cyp correct?

Dude, its a marathon not a sprint. Why the rush?

If you are really hypogonadal, then you should feel a kick in the first week or two on cyp. Tell us more about your situation. Why do you want to go on HRT? Most of us dont want to, but we have to.....

dude cyp has a heavier ester, meaning prop has more hormone and less ester in the weight. 100 mg of prop EOD wud be WAY more than 200 mmg of cyp a week. try like 50 mg EOD at most.

ok, I am 36 and test is on the low side anyway 384 pre cycle. since ending cycle and starting pct feel like warmed over s**t. slugish, depressed, and libido is in the can which before starting cycle was never that great to begin with. I felt great on test for the past 14 weeks better than I have felt maybe ever. I want that back and therefore am considering hrt. I do not have a problem with doing low dose injections forever if I will feel better than I would natural. If If I never do another cycle again. I would be happy just to feel good and have my sex drive back to what it was on cycle. SO I am more concerned about feeling good than gains at this point.

I feel ya bro...man i started slowly (gel for 2 months now cyp for 3 months) and have never felt better...
i know u want to feel better fast and it prolly won't hurt to do prop at first for a week or 2 but man as much as i look forward to my weekly injection, i couldn't fathom jabbing eod forever...maybe you just meant as a kick start anyway

yes I ment prop as a kick start. sorry wasn't more clear about that. when I was on cyp cycle took about 3 weeks to kick in. I have both and was thinking about doing both for like 2weeks then laying off the prop and let the cyp do its job. seems like prop kicked in about a week

I have never experienced any more pain from prop than anything else. Actually I love prop. but I only use pharm grade which I hear makes a difference. The sick thing is that I like sticking myself everyday, just the mental aspect i guess of i am putting somthing in make me feel better.
Started 200mg cyp/ week and 25mg prop ed 3 days ago. no results yet.

I've got a question on this...

I've just started 100mg test cyp injections weekly. Today was my first injection. Am I reading here that it will be a few weeks before I start to notice anything? Are there better ways to start this? like a jump start or something?

    thanks.

Some Dr's will start with one 200mg shot to front load, but most don't. HRT is for life so don't get to worried about it taking an extra week or so to get your blood levels stable.

Cool...thanks for the info. I am in no hurry....I've been on gels/creams for 8 months and still have levels below 400. I've given up on my doc for the time being and I am going with oasis.

I too started on the gel. It helped as my levels were really low! I found the injections raised my levels a lot more and I feel much better. All this through my Doc. He took me down from 1ML/wk to 1/2ml every 5 days. I've noticed that I don't feel as good though my level is still good. I was at 1018 8days after my injection when tested last. That's whey he wanted to go lower on the dose. I have more pain (disc injuries), more lethargic, and more easily depressed even after several months on 1/2ml. I told him I'd give it a fair trial. I guess I just run better at a higher level than many. Didn't have any negative side effects other than minor acne on my shoulders and upper arms. That was countered by using a cleansing scrub and Oxy 10 wipes each day.
There was a slight lag when I changed over to the shots but not too bad. I too look forward to my shot, it's pyschological. No different than looking forward to a good workout, hunting trip, etc. HRT is for life and it really does make a huge difference for most of us that need it. I wish I had learned of it sooner! I'm disabled from my injuries and it's made life a lot easier and more like it was prior to my injury. I'm sure there are a LOT of guys suffering needlessly. Especially those who got hurt and are or were on meds that lower your levels additionally, as I was. It's a sin that so few Dr's know anything about HRT ! It was a fight for me but he caved, we tested, I needed it and it's worked. I owe a tremendous debt to the folks at this site! If not for them, I may never have known there was help.
