blood work after 9 mo

I have been on hrt for approx 9 mo. I am on androgel 10 gr a day. My test levels are now up to 685 on this dose from about 132 when I started. My dr has checked my test levels and psa along with cholesterol and all the other things like triglicerides and such. But he has never checked my estrogen levels. Is this an important test. And how often should this be checked? Any info would be great . thx

Yeah estrogen should be checked, but most MDs dont.

I would get it checked knowing the importance and agree with spyke....2 endos, a uro, and a family doc before my current doc never mentioned estro or confirmed the importance when i brought it up....i always had to ask/demand it to be added to the bloodwork script.

I know when i was on androgel , my estro did not go up but in a lot of threads I read that the gel was more easily converted to estro than injects (more easily aromatized) even though it didn't have that effect on me.

BTW, congrats on the improved level...have you felt better/gained LBM, etc.? and other levels good/improved?
