Got my thyroid numbers, what ya think?
TSH 3.079, scale 0.350 - 5.5
Free T3 - 3.3, scale 2.3 - 4.2
Free T4 - 1.0, scale 0.61 - 1.76
Doc says a TSH over 2.0 is a sign of a negative feedback loop. My body is trying to produce more T3, so he put me on Armour.
Opinions??? I suffer from horrible fatigue, brain fog, and horrible recovery times, and ive tried everything I can think of.

you are hypo.................... free t3 should optimally be in the upper 1/3 of the range and T4 should be in the upper 1/2 of the range.... Tsh should optimally be clinically between 1.0 - 2.0......... Armour imho is a good choice by your doc......

Any idea how long before I start feeling a difference?
This really pisses me off. Ive had 6 other doctors before this one tell me my thyroid was fine because I was "in range".
This range shit has gotta go! Docs need to pay more attention to how their patients feel (like utter shit in my case)
My old doc -->

When should I take my thyroid medicine?
Doc says in the morning before breakfast.
But, ive read some articles that says after breakfast and after dinner is better because it doesnt make your hormone levels swing wild.

best time to take thyroid meds is first thing in morning on empty stomach and wait an hour before eating..... you dont want to take thyroid meds at night cuz it will give you a stimulant effect and keep you up all night.....

Why do you have to wait an hour before eating?
Does that screw up absorption?

Re: Got my thyroid numbers, what ya think?
Ignore that old range. Consensus is building that the old range is too wide, much too wide, and the original statistical population may have contained people with poor, but not pathological, thyroid function. An upper range of 3 or even 2 seems to be more appropriate. How you feel must be considered with the tests, can't just go by tests alone. You won't feel significantly better for a month.
