My test blood work results
Im 39, in good shape, but suffer from bad fatigue and have no sex drive. After I exercise, I have really bad recovery times. I have a very difficult time with clear thought as well, my head is in a cloud all the time. So I decided to get my test levels checked.
Total testosterone was 429 out of a lab range of 241 - 827
Free test was 13.2 pg/ml, with a lab range of 8.7 - 25.1
Estradiol was 29, lab range was 0 - 53
Anything look suspect?

Sootired, My numbers were very similar to yours and I feel the same effects, I am 42 yr old and just started taking 5g Androgel by prescription. it took a lot of convincing for my doc to write the scrip, and just a few days into it I can definitally feel a slight inprovement. I am hoping after e few weeks the changes are much better.

I hope my natural T don't shut down with only 5g per day. remember it is a 5g packet but only 1% test. I do agree if you get the number up to the high end of "normal" you should feel much better. my test level was actually closer to 500 but we have no baseline to what it was 10 or 15 years ago when everything worked and felt great. the problem for me was convincing my doctor that the test number is just a number and everyone is different. he finally did agree to give me the lowest dose of androgel basically to shut me up. that's ok with me since he did perscribe it. I realy would prefer to stay on a low dose rather than going to an injection once a week at a much higher dose.

Soootired....number don't look suspect....have you consulted a doctor or clinic for advice.
when i had similar symptoms but even lower test, i also had cortisol and vitamin b levels checked but they all checked out...all i needed was a good jab of test

Docs wants to try thyroid meds and if that doesnt work, a little test boost to put me in the upper range of normal using test cream.
How long does it take testosterone cream to raise your levels? Is this days or weeks or what?Last edited by sootired; 12-19-2006 at 05:35 PM. Reason: typo
