Blood Results
Well I got my Blood Results back today finally after a week and a half and I have to say that after almost four years of living in a haze with all the symptoms of low test I'm going to be put on HRT through a urologist, My family doctor is refering me to one. I will find out tomorrow who and where. I am so happy and excited now that this will all be taken care of and I am going to feel normal again. My symptoms stated about 4 years ago when I got back from overseas in Iraq, I don't know if that had anything to do with it I just know thats when it started I was 29 then and i'm 33 now, a little young for HRT IMO but necessary as my total levels were 109, very low but at least I know what the problem has been all this time now, I agree with alot of the members of this board when I say I would like to join the fight in getting awarness out and helping those who may not know which direction to go. Anyway just wanted to let everyone know about my breakthrough and will keep everyone intrested on this topic posted on the procedures that I will be going through for future Knowledge,
K~

Ok quick question I found out today that I have an appointment in two and a half weeks with the urologist on the 23rd and well I've heard good stories and bad stories about urologists on the subject of HRT because they don't really specialize in the area like Endo's do, so is there a way I can find out this Doc's
history, treatments in this area so that I'm not waiting two weeks just to waste my time with someone that doesn't know what he's talkin about or is closed minded about the treatments themselves. you would think someone like me walkin through the door with a Total T level of 109 would'nt have any trouble BUT!!! I have read instances where people have been turned around because the Dr's didn't think they needed the treatments or put them on an absolutly assenign program.
Do these Dr's listen to anything the patients might suggest.
I think I'm just a little bit nervous and I don't know what to expect,
And all I want to do is get better
K~

my advice here would be to be willing to move on to another doc if need be and in my experience endo or uro or both can be good or closed minded just the same...i went to 2 endos, 1 uro, and ended up staying with my 2nd family doc who ended up being the most open minded/knowledgeable about HRT and the uro is a body builder
good luck bro

with 109 of total test I would insist on hrt or keep going to a doc that will do it--I was at 239 and feel great now--I can not even start to think how you feel with it that low
also love the picture I have not seen one like that since my first jiu jitsu instructor made a shirt with something very similuar back in 1998

I took an Army Combatives course last year, part 1 of 4 parts and when I get the time and get my hormones back in check I will get the other 3 done
its a pretty good course its a mix of, at its base jui jitsu, Sombo, Throws and take downs of Judo, and Strikes of Boxing and Muay Thai,
It was developed by Matt Larson if you know that name while he was a Ranger in the Army, The Army adopted the program and its fairly new to the military
but has blown up beyond leaps and bounds in the short time that it has been in practice, and I love it.
Anyway that is the Logo for the Army Combatives Course.

Definately find a doc with progressive style. Stay away from older doctors who tend to be "old school". There is no reason why you should not be prescribed a doseage which will significantly increase your test. For nomial dollars, you could consult with online HRT clinics that are still in business to see what they would prescribe. If want what you deserve medically, I would get a few opinions and choose the doctor who will help you and not tell you that 109 is just a little low - that is WAY low. Good luck and keep us posted!

dont scare doc with too much knowledge--learn all you can from here then listen to him to see if he knows what hes talking about--if you start telling him everything he will think you are up to something
thats cool on hx of pic--my instructor went to a army base somewhere around the carolinas a few months ago and taught the guys stuff for 2 days--he is a black belt from Brazil and with club Carlson Gracie
