New Bloodwork Today...Question about Estro..
Hello all
LabCorp did total estrogens this last bloodwork where they did only estradial before so it kind a screwed up my comparisons to all my other bloodwork.
My total estrogens were 92 with a range of 40-115
Doc said that is fine when I told him i was confused with the new test readout. I did this bloodwork on the day that i was due for my shot where i had been taking 100mg EW for the past several weeks. I did the bloodwork before the shot so I had been 7 days with no injection...sorry to keep repeating myself..
Question is anyone know what optimum levels for the total estrogen test..my free test was only 17.1 kind of in the middle on a range of 8.7 -25.1
Appreciate any input, thanks

man i was pissed when i saw the bloodwork and i couldn't make heads or tails of what it meant to me other than the doc saying that the level was good
the 17.1 was down from last blood work where i was at top of range at 24 something but he also said he likes the 17.1 as well
the lab didn't include total test level either which i know is less important than the free test but i always like to know it
thanks again

Your estrogen is pretty close to the middle of the normal range as long as your not having any sides Id be happy with that
I think I would want to know estradiol levels also because its the most potent estrogen, and youve been tracking it so you can see any change.

Hey Jpkman,
I have always read total estrogen is not valid. All estrogens are not equal. It is the estadiol E2 that is imortant. Make sure to get the male sensitive assay. You can get this done at LEF for either $25 or $40 Can't remember which.

THANKS ALL...i am less impressed with my doc now that he was satisfied with the estrogen test even when i expressed confusion with not being able to compare the estradiol...although he continued the scripts---adex for a whole year and test for 6 months
