Does Proscar help when using TEST?

Hey, could use some help. Last used AS 8 years ago when competing. Am thinking of using test for "replacement therapy." When on AS, had hair loss and prostate swelling. Anybody know if Proscar will prevent these side effects? At what dose (comes in 5 mg). Btw, I'm 54 yo. Thanks.

yes, it could help. normally u take 1mg ed, so just split the tablets in quarters.

I have a enlarged Prostate, I am 52 and I am on TRT. I was on Proscar for over a year at 5 mg ED, its did nothing to my Prostate in the way of shrinking it. I have been off it now for about three months and still feel no difference.

Make sure you have a PSA test and a Digital Rectal Exam done before you start TRT. If your PSA is higher than 4 you should really have a Biopsy done as well. There are many theories that Test is linked to enlarged Prostate and Prostate Cancer, but when you question the Dr's about this they really dont have a clue. Test production is dramatically reduced at the age of 50 and yet thats when the enlargements and cancer can start, go figure. I have read some studies that actually say Test actually reduces the chance of Prostate cancer and that Proscar can actually cause Cancer, so who really knows. All I know is I am 52, I have the body of a 30 year old and I can cum three times a day plus. Its all good as far as I am concerned.

Thanks Kale. Been trying to read all the studies I can find and have come up with the same info...
1. test levels lower as we age, yet, prostate cancer increases.
2. study of finasteride seems to derease risk of getting prostate cancer, but those that get it seem to have a more aggressive type
3. TRT helps cholesterol, lipids, etc
4. Haven't read about cuming three times or more a day though. Sounds like the best yet.

But definitely had hair loss and prostate enlargement last time. I think I would want to try the Proscar if I do go for TRT. Thanks for the time. I appreciate it.

Kale 3 times a day while on HRT? Last time i was on for awile (hrt doses) I could barely cum at all, let alone 3 times a day... Please share your secret lol
