My Doctor will put me on the patch

I told my doctor last year that I was using testosterone that I had obtained from an on-line HRT clinic. She did blood work and said my T levels were way over the reference range and I should cut back. I did and still felt good.

I went in for my physical last week, having been off test for about a month with no pct. Told my doctor that I had stopped because my HRT clinic had been shut down by the feds and I was looking for a new one. She said that it would be better if she put me on test and monitored my hormone levels to keep me in the high normal range. woo hoo

She likes the patch because it will keep my hormone levels more constant than weekly injections.

Anyone here have experience with the androderm patch?

Most people (males) that I know who used the patch didn't like it. Some developed irritations (rashes) where applied due to the adhesive. Others didn't like it because during the day the patch would often fall off or come loose and they'd actually lose it (and you can't just slap on a new one cause you don't know how much Test you've absorbed from the old one... you have to wait until the next morning... plus the concern about "where did it go", "what if some kid picks it up", etc.).

Most didn't like it because the patch simply didn't bring their Test levels up anywhere near high enough. I know of multiple guys who were using two patches a day and one guy who was using 3 patches a day... and still not getting up into the optimal ranges - much less high normal ranges.

In each case that I know of, the individual switched FROM the patches to injections.

On the other hand, I am sure there are examples out there of guys who love the patch and are content with their levels... just none that I have run across.

I've been using the Androderm patches for about 7 months. I started with one patch a day for a couple of months, then had bloodwork and my doctor raised the patches to two a day. Started to really feel better emotionally and physically. My workouts also improved and I really started to see my body change. My weight has pretty much stayed the same, but I've seen my body start to harden up and loose fat and reapportion itself. I've aslo started to notice increased vascularity, that had not been there before. I stayed on two patches a day for a couple of months. Bloodwork had been within normal ranges, so I was able to increase the dossage to three patches a day. I've been wearing three patches for about 3 months now and everything is still improving. I used to get hot flashes all the time, and was always tired, but now energy is good and getting better every day. The only draw back to the patches are that they can irritate your skin. Wearing 3 patches a day, I run out of places where I feel comfortable wearing them. The legs are the only place that I wear my patches. Every night when I change to a new days patches, there is still some gel left in the old ones, I squeeze it out and apply topically. You might as well use everything in the patch because your paying for it.
    Hope this helps,
    Peace,
    CR
