HRT with doc
I have been lifting for 10 years consistently with no more than a 2 week loss of time during my duration. Done a cycle or two in that time. Going on 38 and been reading a lot of HRT. I am very interested in it but I am concerned with the fact about bring it up. With that many years of dedication I do not have to tell people I lift weights. My question is, is it harder to get the docs approval if they look at you and think you want it for the BBing effects? Do I come to the doctor educated but not too educated? My doctor is a sports doctor so I am hoping she will be more open to it. Any experences you can share is welcomed..

It shouldnt matter, if your test is low it can be legally treated.
Every doc I saw did ask if I had ever used steriods in the past, which I didnt. It didnt seem to be a problem
When I went in I brought blood work showing my low test to get the ball rolling. When they gave me a script for androgel I refused (I have 3 young daughters) and showed them info about test transfer from person to person at androgels website and http://pediatrics.aappublications.or...4/1/282?ck=nck which they had never heard of.But it got me a script for test E
Anyway, if your levels are low they should treat you Or find another doc

Agreed, most of the doubt is in our head becuase we know why we are asking for it. The doc doesn't. The only thing that matters are the results of the blood work and that you STRESS the typical symptoms of low T. God luck.

Thanks for the support. I will proceed forward. I have not had my test levels checked yet but I am going to ask for that and move forward. I will keep that site for the andro gel thats good info.

yea, I mean, doc's should check stuff if you ask, some are jerks about it I'm gathering. But you also have to think, if your a BB or any other type of athlete who would benefit from TRT, you would be even more concerned if your levels where declining.. declining levels of test in athletes really impacts their performance. more so than the next guy who just wants to get it on with the secretary again. (not that we don't all want to get it on with the secretary too heh).
